This downtown restaurant, run by chef Michael LeClerc, offers elegant “new American” cuisine in a casual setting. One half of the menu offers food that is rich in antioxidants and low in fat and calories; the other half is more traditional fare. We love the “tower of ahi and hamachi,” an appetizer composed of caviar, pineapple shoyu, and a wasabi-enriched sauce.
Zane Holmquist is the chef at this Stein Eriksen Lodge restaurant, located in the Deer Valley ski resort. The place is known for its lavish Sunday brunch, but you can also enjoy specialties like Stein’s Wild Game Chili, Elk Carpaccio, and fondue. The wine cellar holds 10,000 bottles — a vintage for even the rarest taste.
Located in the Hotel Park City and offering stunning views of the Wasatch Mountains to visitors while they dine, Ruth’s Chris Steak House offers visual treats like its Chop Salad and, of course, a full menu of steak options, including cowboy ribeye, filet and porterhouse. Kids with developed palates will be intrigued by the Lobster Mac and Cheese, and the restaurant has a romantic ambiance for couples.
Located on Main Street, Park City, Cafe Terigo specializes in food from Northern Italy and Southern France. Owner and Head Chef Ed Axtell has built a loyal clientele by offering a hospitable atmosphere, great service, and superb cuisine. We enjoyed the Duck Confit and Roasted Grapes and Veal Bolognese — elegant takes on our favorite comfort foods.
Also on Main Street, Wahso Asian Grill is an inviting space with dining alcoves that afford some privacy from the hubbub of this popular restaurant. Wahso is a great place for people-watching during the Sundance Festival, when the place is packed. Artifacts from throughout Asian make the atmosphere unique, and the menu combines traditional Asian favorites, like potstickers and Forbidden Tofu, with Red Curry Lamb Shank and Crab Crusted Salmon.
