This summer might look and feel a little different than in the past, but our community here in Park City is trying to do their best at keeping spirits high and hoping for the best. Below we’ve compiled a list of events that are kicking off the summer. Most of them are virtual, but as you scroll through you will see opportunities to enjoy being the presence of others.

TASTY THREADS // MERCH AID INITIATIVE

In an effort to create new revenue streams for local artists and restaurants during this unprecedented time, Tasty Threads // Merch Aid is an initiative developed in collaboration by the Arts Council of Park City & Summit County and Zenzee, a local apparel brand to create limited edition creative merchandise to raise money for artists and restaurants who were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

PARK CITY INSTITUTE

Experience the 2020 Locals Live Series by Park City Institute. Locals Live consists of a weekly streaming series that provides performance opportunities for local artists during this difficult time. Each Saturday at 7 pm the Institute will present a different local artist.

EGYPTIAN THEATRE

Upcoming Performances:

Now through July on Monday – Thursday evenings at 7 pm, Randy Barton along with Robyn Cage, will perform Broadway Faces, an entertaining show including familiar Broadway melodies and standards. Starting out, shows will only be available to members of The Pharaoh Club. If you aren’t already a member of The Egyptian Pharaoh Club, please consider joining. MOUNTAIN TOWN MUSIC

Let Mountain Town Music bring the music to you! They’ve streamed music virtually for the last month and plan to bring us live music in some novel new places and even right to our door this summer.

Door 2 Door Tour:

The Door 2 Door Tour will be a tiered donation-based cost. ($500 for a solo artist, $750 for a trio and $1,000 for a full band) and a per person based cost for catering; Savory Kitchens and bartending service from Top Shelf. Mountain Town Music will bring the Door 2 Door Tour to you, wherever you are – your driveway, your street, your backyard, your Cul De Sac.

Every Wednesday this summer, to replace the Grand Valley Bank Community Concert Series – a local tradition dating back 20 years, Mountain Town Music will partner with High West Distillery and parade bands through select neighborhoods throughout Summit County.

PARK CITY MUSEUM

KIMBALL ART CENTER

The Kimball Art Center is offering group online and in-person art classes and private and custom online and in-person art classes. They are also offering free art education, curriculum, and interactive opportunities for all ages online. No upcoming exhibits are planned at this time. Stay tuned for updates here.

ALF ENGEN SKI MUSEUM

The Ski Museum is open once again!  Some of the museum’s offerings have been modified for the initial reopen phase to ensure the health and safety of staff and guests. The Alf Engen Ski Museum is committed to making sure everyone has a safe, educational, and entertaining visit. Read more about the re-opening here, and stop by for a visit!

GALLERY STROLL

Gallery Stroll is back! Look forward to Park City Gallery Stroll on Main St and beyond during the last Friday of each month. For now, you can explore galleries online and participate in online art auctions here. You can also view a recorded version of May’s Live Virtual Gallery Stroll. CLASSES & ACTIVITIES

RECYCLED ART WITH EQL

Every Wednesday, local Park City Artist, Emily Quinn Loughlin hosts an online Zoom Class at 12 pm. The class is called “Recycled Art with EQL” and focuses on using our own recycling bins as resources for fueling our creative lives while protecting our environment. KIMBALL ART CENTER

The Kimball Art Center is now offering a variety of art classes for all ages online and in person. View upcoming classes online here, below is a sampling of upcoming classes.

FESTIVALS & MARKETS

COPPER MOOSE FARMSTAND

The farm stand will be open this summer on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 – 6 pm and Saturdays from 9 am – 3 pm. They will have lots of plant starts, local goodies, salad greens, potatoes and much more. Copper Moose will also be implementing the safety standards of COVID-19. Only credit or debit cards will be accepted at the farmstand. Check-in on their Facebook page for updates.

PARK CITY FARMER’S MARKET

The Park City Farmer’s Market at the Park City Mountain Resort Silver King Parking Lot has begun! They will be open from 11:00 am-12:00 pm for seniors only, then from 12:00 pm-5:00 pm. They will be open every Wednesday throughout the Summer. Check their Facebook page for updates.

LITERARY ARTS

PARK CITY LIBRARY

The library is now doing curbside pick-up! The hours of service are Monday to Friday 10 am – 5 pm, Saturday 10 am – 2 pm, and Sunday will be closed. View more here and call the Library at 435-615-5600 with any questions.

SUMMIT COUNTY LIBRARY
