Bringing the Kids to Park City
If you have children, especially young kids, it can be difficult to pursue your adventurous side when traveling as a family. However, you don’t have to settle for theme parks or other vacation destinations that cater toward children or that get boring after a few days. It’s possible to please everyone in the family if you choose to vacation in Park City, Utah.
True to its name, Park City revolves around the Great Outdoors. Thanks to picture-perfect mountain ranges, vast expanses of hilly forests, and deep blue lakes, no one returns home from resort destinations like Deer Valley without a deeper love and respect for the American landscape. You might even come back in better shape than you were before you left.
No matter which season it is, the terrain in Park City can turn anyone into an athlete. Both summer and winter sports draw families to Utah all year long, and these vacations offer a great opportunity for children to step outside of their comfort zones and try new things.

After spending all day mastering a brand new talent, the last thing you want to do is corral everyone into a restaurant or take turns sharing a hotel shower. Vacation rentals in Deer Valley offer the perfect solution for adventurous families. Instead of paying for multiple hotel rooms or wearing out your welcome at a friend’s house, consider moving into a home away from home.
This ski resort town is full of spacious condos and homes that are available for weekly and monthly rentals. Vacation rentals are more cost-effective for most families, because they cut out the costs associated with parking, dining out, and hotel amenities. We even offer grocery services if you want to stock up for the week and cook your own meals.
With so many family-friendly vacation rentals in Park City, it’s no wonder millions of people choose it as a vacation destination every year. If you’re planning a family trip to Utah in the near future, feel free to contact us at Abode for more information about vacation rentals and fun activities that you and your children can enjoy together.
In our last post we talked a lot about the Deer Valley Summer Concert Series because honestly it is one of our very favorite things to do every year. There’s another summer treat that we look forward to as the weather begins to warm and that is the Park Silly Market.
The Park Silly Sunday Market is held on Main Street in Park City every Sunday between June 9th and September 22nd from 10am to 5pm. We love to ride our bikes to the market and spend a couple hours perusing the vendor booths, listening to live music, running into friends, eating from the great food vendor booths and of course partaking in the awesome beer garden and bloody mary cart.
Another great part of the Park Silly Sunday Market is the farmers market area they set up. The farmers market vendors that come to the Park Silly Market always have tons of amazing produce to offer up such as farm fresh cherries, peaches, tomatoes, sugar snap peas, cheeses, spices and more. Don’t miss out on this part of the market – the Utah produce is truly spectacular!
So if you’re considering a visit to Park City this summer and you’re wondering if there is anything to do once the snow melts…well let this post be proof that there is tons to do ESPECIALLY on Sundays in Park City at the Park Silly Market.
