During the summer in Park City, Utah there’s nothing quite like booking a stay at a luxury Deer Valley vacation home in the heart of the action for mountain bikers.

Abode at Deer Valley is a perfect location to base your summer vacation from.  This home is located just around the corner from Deer Valley Resort.  In case you aren’t already aware, Deer Valley was the #1 ski resort in the US for three years running and is also a mecca for mountain bikers and hiking trail enthusiasts alike.  This spacious mountain home is down right dreamy.  Beautifully designed with custom touches the thoughtful design offers master suite bedrooms and baths so that you and your guests will each have five star accommodations.  Don’t forget the great chef’s kitchen, five bedrooms, huge great room with massive stone fireplace, wine cellar, wet bar, hot tub, and large open floor plan great for entertaining.  This home a must see.

Proximity to Deer Valley is so wonderful in the summer because of all the great activities the resort affords.  Deer Valley offers lift served single track biking trails for mountain bikers who treasure these memorable rides.  There are almost 70 miles of trails served by three chair lifts with difficulty levels from beginner to expert.  Deer Valley is open in the summer between June 14th and September 2nd.  And to top it off…the Deer Valley trails link into the Park City trail system which provides access to 400 miles of trails which were recently designated as the world’s first and only Gold-Level Ride Center by the International Mountain Bicycling Association.

So don’t wait another minute…you could be here in Park City now with your bike and your helmet about to hop onto the lift and head up to some of the best mountain biking experiences of your life!  Contact us to book your vacation now.

In our last post we talked a lot about the Deer Valley Summer Concert Series because honestly it is one of our very favorite things to do every year.  There’s another summer treat that we look forward to as the weather begins to warm and that is the Park Silly Market.

The Park Silly Sunday Market is held on Main Street in Park City every Sunday between June 9th and September 22nd from 10am to 5pm.  We love to ride our bikes to the market and spend a couple hours perusing the vendor booths, listening to live music, running into friends, eating from the great food vendor booths and of course partaking in the awesome beer garden and bloody mary cart.

Another great part of the Park Silly Sunday Market is the farmers market area they set up.  The farmers market vendors that come to the Park Silly Market always have tons of amazing produce to offer up such as farm fresh cherries, peaches, tomatoes, sugar snap peas, cheeses, spices and more.  Don’t miss out on this part of the market – the Utah produce is truly spectacular!

So if you’re considering a visit to Park City this summer and you’re wondering if there is anything to do once the snow melts…well let this post be proof that there is tons to do ESPECIALLY on Sundays in Park City at the Park Silly Market.

abode has a number of great Park City Main Street rental properties available to make your summer visit easy.  We have rental properties right across from the Park Silly Market with luxury accommodations for couples taking a weekend away or families looking for an adventure.  Check out our abode at Parkwood as a great example of excellent location combined with high end finishes to make for the perfect summer vacation in Park City.  Call us at abode to make your reservations now 435-565-1555!

Summers in Park City are often overlooked…sometimes the locals prefer it that way…but let us here at abode Park City be the ones to share the secret – DON’T MISS OUT ON PARK CITY SUMMERS!

There are tons of reasons to come visit Park City and Deer Valley in June, July and August. The outdoor activities available are endless. If you’re interested in mountain biking, hiking, paddle boarding, road biking, camping, or just spending some time in the sun with no humidity and a perfect breeze…well Park City is about ideal as you can get.

One of our favorite things about summer in Park City is the Deer Valley Summer Concert Series. The Deer Valley Concert Series is held outside at the Snow Park area of Deer Valley in a concert shell that is put up every summer at the base of the mountain.

Concert goers can choose to:
1) bring their own blankets and picnic supplies (wine and cheese) and sit with friends and family on the lawn to watch the show or
2) buy the fancy seats up front where lawn chairs are provided and you get a closer look at the performers.
Either way these concerts are a wonderful experience for a date, a family outing, a girls night out or a vacation treat.
The performers that the Park City Performing Arts team brings in are top notch and I have never once been disappointed at one of these shows.

This year the lineup includes:
July 4th – Los Lobos, Los Lonely Boys, Alejandro Escovedo
July 25th – Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers, Railroad Earth
July 30th – Natalie Maines
August 4th – Darlene Love and Muscle Shoals Live
August 17th – Lyle Lovett and His Large Band
August 24th – Jewel
August 31st – One Republic, Sara Barielles, Churchhill

abode at Arrowood is a spectacular option for someone looking to visit Park City and Deer Valley in the summer…especially if you are planning on taking in one of the Deer Valley Summer Concert Series shows! This perfectly placed unit sits within a ten minute walk to the base of Deer Valley. If you’re looking for luxury Deer Valley lodging this is the rental for you. Did you know that there are 38 restaurants and bars on Main Street in Park City? Keep in mind that in less than five blocks Main Street packs in all of these eating and drinking options.  So you’ve got tons of options all within walking distance of your Park City vacation rental.

In the wintertime high-season it can be difficult to even get a 7:30pm reservation at many of these establishments.  But that’s not an issue during the summer.

There are loads of great reasons to love Park City in the summer.  The great warm weather season value offered by our local restaurants is a strong item on the list of reasons to partake of Park City summers.

Between June and September it’s easy to get a great table at a prime time at all of these great dining options.  And not only that, but you can get a great deal on your meal to top it off.

Many of the Main Street restaurants offer two-for-one deals via coupons listed in the local newspaper the Park Record.  So maybe you can have your cake and eat it too¬here’ how to get the most out of this summer Park City perk:

-Pick up a local paper “The Park Record” at any of the newspaper machines located around town (check at the grocery stores, or near ATM machines)

-Look through the newspaper for the coupons which are interspersed throughout the sections

DEER VALLEY LUXURY HOTEL

The readers of Conde Nast Traveler magazine have selected The Spa at Stein Eriksen Lodge in Park City as the best spa in the continental United States.

The Deer Valley resort received a rating of 98.8 in the reader survey, including perfect scores in the staff and treatment categories.

And, as the Conde Nast story observed, “20,000 square feet” the current size of the recently expanded spa at Stein Eriksen Lodge. Perhaps that explains its number one position on the U.S. resorts list.

When this survey began in 1990, the magazine noted, three spas were judged, and the winner received a rating of 82.0. Now there are 250 spas involved.

Following Stein Eriksen Lodge in the rankings were the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa in Avon, Colo.; Sanderling Resort & Spa in Duck, N.C.; Four Seasons in Las Vegas; and Ritz-Carlton Lodge at Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Ga.

To celebrate this award, abode is offering a free spa treatment when you book one of our Deer Valley vacation rentals or Park City accommodations. Booking has to occur in the next 2 weeks. If you are looking for more rest and relaxation, you may want to book a customized spa vacations package with abode:
