When you’re looking forward to a 4th of July in Park City that comes complete with parades, music, food, and family fun, the annual 4th of July Celebration in Park City promises to please! Hosted by the Historic Park City Alliances, this event is held at City Park found at 1354 Park Avenue. The fun lasts all day and begins with a pancake breakfast at the park at 7:00 am. This is followed by a 5K Fun Run which sees runners setting off at 8:00 am. At 11:00 am, you’ll want to make your way to Main Street with the kids to enjoy the 4th of July parade that will be making its way through. The parade is a popular event highlight so showing up early to get a good spot is always advisable. The parade starts at the top of Main Street and eventually goes left on 9th Street, passing by the Town Lift. Throughout the day, there will be volleyball tournaments, rugby games, and many live musical performances as well. When cravings come calling you won’t have to worry as this event is known for its great food and refreshments too. Many of those who turn up to celebrate the 4th at City Park also take advantage of their proximity to great area shopping.
Attend the Annual Oakley Rodeo
Travelers looking to enjoy a Western-rooted celebration while visiting Park City over Independence Day will be just in time to catch the annual Oakley Rodeo. This event is held June 30th through July 4th at 4300 North State Road 32 in Oakley at the Oakley City Recreational Complex. Tickets must be purchased in advance for this Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association-sanctioned event that kicks off at 7:30 pm each evening. Guests will get views of raring bulls and bucking broncos alongside rodeo queens, cowboys, and cowgirls too. The Oakley Rodeo is presented by Bolt Ranch Store and will enjoy its 88th year in town in 2023. Pair your rodeo experience with plenty of on-site concessions as the recreational concession stand offers up everything from hot dogs and pizza to nachos, cheeseburgers, popcorn, snow cones, cotton candy, bottled drinks, and beyond! In the later evening hours, hot chocolate and coffee are served up as well. There are also food trucks available to enjoy during your rodeo adventure this 4th of July.

On July 3rd and July 4th, those who find themselves in Park City for Independence Day fun and are looking to infuse a little bit of literary excitement into their stay will want to make their way to the Park City Library at 1255 Park Avenue. Over the course of two days, guests can check out the Friends of the Library Book Sale between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm daily. This summer book sale is an opportunity to browse hundreds of books at bargain prices—some as low as $1 or $2. The collection features everything from popular fiction to picture books for kids meaning there’s something for everyone to enjoy when you drop by.
Hit the Park City Golf Courses in Style
Golf enthusiasts have long known that Park City is the perfect place to book a tee time or two and the 4th of July is no exception to that rule! In total, Park City and the surrounding communities offer guests access to no less than 8 private golf courses and 7 public courses to choose from. Each comes with its own unique set up, but great views and quality challenges can be counted on no matter what course you ultimately select. The Jeremy Ranch Country Club at 8770 N. Jeremy Road features fantastic hilly terrain and water features that ask skilled golfers to put their best moves to the test. FRIDAY, JULY 2
The Park City 4th of July Parade starts at the top of Main Street at 11 a.m. and ends at City Park around 4 p.m. Crowds gather all along the parade route cheering on their favorite floats. The famous old fashioned activity is free, just be sure to arrive early to get a good spot!
The Deer Valley Music Festival Concert will start at 7:30 p.m. at the Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater. Utah Sympbony’s Patriotic Pops featuring Capithia Jenkins will be waiting for you to celebrate our nation’s founding. Purchase tickets in advance. Please note, chairs that sit over 9 inches from the ground will NOT be allowed on the hill and there is no separation between chair and blanket side, it is all general admission. The only animals allowed onsite are trained service animals.
Rugby Games at North City Park are going to be held from 12 to 5 p.m.
SATURDAY, JULY 3
The classic and always expected flyover by Hill Airforce Base on Main Street is going to take place at 10 a.m.

Canyons Village will return of the annual 3rd of July Celebration. Live music will begin at 4 p.m. with Memphis McCool and continued by Jake & The Heist at 7 p.m. on the Canyons Village Stage. Kids’ activities and live art activations by local artists Anna Leigh Moore and AD Allegretti in partnership with Arts Council | Park City & Summit County will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. and live ice carving demonstrations by Iceworks is going to take place at 6 p.m. Admission is free and reservations are not currently required. Dining and shopping options available on-site, blankets allowed and low-back chairs only. No dogs, umbrellas or outside alcohol, please.
Please note that due to direction from the Park City Fire District and Summit County Fire Warden, Canyons Village will not be hosting a fireworks display this year.

Park City Fourth of July Volleyball Tournament is planned at North City Park from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.
