Utah Olympic Park

HomeTrip PlanningSummerUtah Olympic Park

One of Park City’s gems, especially in the summer months, is the Utah Olympic Park. It’s a great combination of educational, entertaining, and thrilling that the whole family can enjoy. Just outside of downtown Park City, at 7,300 ft. elevation, the Utah Olympic Park still buzzes with excitement and enthusiasm that one might have expected 20-years ago when the Park hosted five events during the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games: bobsled, skeleton, luge, and the Nordic combined events. Fans from around the world crowded the mountainside to cheer and support their nations and compatriots. And although the two weeks of those games have long passed, the exhilaration of those sports is still electric in the brisk mountain air.

Built for the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games, Utah Olympic Park is located in Park City, just 25 miles east of Salt Lake City, Utah. The nearly 400-acre venue houses one of only four sliding tracks in North America, six Nordic ski jumps, a 2002 Winter Games museum, and a multitude of adventure activities. Utah Olympic Park is a dynamic multi-use facility focused on developing and growing participation in winter sports in the state of Utah and is an official USOC Training Site.

A visit to Utah Olympic Park can be a full-day adventure that the whole family will love! We recommend starting off at the free ski & Olympic museum located in the Welcome Center, giving you an inspiring look into the legacy that they've created and that you'll get to participate in yourself!

After an educational stop at the museum, the park is yours to conquer – and you don't have to be an Olympic athlete to dominate! There's an adrenaline-pumping activity fit for every type of adventurer, and a Gold Pass unlocks unlimited access to it all, including Alpine Slide, Extreme Tubing, Extreme Zip, Freestyle Zip, Discovery Course, Canyon Course, Summit Course, Drop Tower, Airbag Jumps + Scenic Chairlifts for your scheduled session.

Whether you make this a stop at the end of an adventure-filled day, or if you come just for the show, you cannot miss the high-flying action of the Flying Ace All-Stars Freestyle Show every weekend beginning Mid-June. See Olympians and National Team skiers and snowboarders perform acrobatic feats as they soar up to 60 feet in the air before landing in the Park’s Spence Eccles Olympic Freestyle Pool. A great show for the whole family, this half-hour choreographed production will leave you breathless!
